ITA - Hygge è un concetto difficile da spiegare, come l’"amore" che si conosce solo quando lo si sperimenta e forse anche in quell’istante non si sa realmente di cosa si tratta.
Allora potete provare ad immaginare voi e i vostri migliori amici nel salotto di una casa arredata con gusto, del vino rosso in abbondanza, il camino in fiamme, un buon pasto cucinato, l’idea che nessuno debba lavorare l’indomani... Magari anche delle luci fioche e una musica soft che suona. Ecco... La sensazione sicura e accogliente che immaginate è hygge.

La parola che viene pronunciata Yoo-gir deriva dal norreno, il linguaggio dei Vichinghi, ed esprime la sensazione di ristoro dopo una lunga giornata fuori al freddo. (Il freddo del nord Europa è sicuramente un elemento che porta alla ricerca dell’Hygge.) E considerando che la politica in Danimarca sostiene molto la sua popolazione questo Stato si colloca regolarmente in cima alla lista dei paesi più felici del mondo. Le persone sono libere dai pensieri più pratici e possono creare, progettare, considerare il mondo con la più ampia prospettiva. Hanno, in definitiva, tempo da dedicare a loro stessi, ad una vita personale con le persone che amano. Non devono ragionare su come "sopravvivere" tutto il tempo. Hanno una predisposizione all'Hygge.
Ma noi come possiamo sperimentare l’ Hygge? Beh, non pianificando troppo le cose. Possiamo pensare ad una base di organizzazione (ritagliare il tempo libero per incontrare gli amici ad esempio), ma, cercare di forzare un momento di ristoro e divertimento non funziona. Serve la spontaneità e dei buoni suggerimenti sono: il cibo, un elemento aggregante. Non serve strafare, basta un piatto di pasta e lasciare che la serata faccia il suo corso, vedere come si sviluppa.
Accendere alcune candele che favoriscono l’ Hygge. Pensate che i danesi impazziscono per le candele... alcuni le portano persino in vacanza con loro... Ma infondo penso che la sensazione di benessere che nasce nell'entrare in una stanza illuminata da delle candele sia universale, una magia.
E poi rendere accogliente il nostro "nido"... È necessario rendere i nostri spazi personalizzati e intimi. Questo è il segreto.

So try to picture this: you and your best friends are in your softly furnished living room with plenty of red wine, the fireplace is burning, you’ve cooked a good meal, no-one’s got work tomorrow, the lights are way down low and a soft music is playing. So… That safe and snug feeling you can imagine you’d have in that situation? That’s hygge.

The word Hygge (pronounced he-yoo-gir) stems from Old Norse, the language of the Vikings, and it means the feeling of finding shelter after a long day of being outside in the freezing cold. The cold weather of Denmark definitely still plays a factor. As much as Denmark regularly ranks at the top of lists of the happiest countries in the world, because people have the basics covered by the government, and so they are free to create, design, consider the world with wider perspective. They have time to theirselves. Time to have a personal life with the people that they love. It’s not about "surviving" all the time.
So, how to hygge? Don’t plan it too much. Having some sort of organisation is good ( try to find the free time for your friends to hang out) but, trying to force cosy fun?! No. That’s going to ruin it all.
Some good suggestions are: food, that is a big factor when it comes to hygge because it gathers people together. You don’t need to stress over, just made some pasta and let the evening stay open, to see how it would develop.
Than lit some candles that help hygge enormously. Danes are mad about candles, really… some take those on holiday with them... But, anyway, I think that the feeling you get walking into a candelit room it’s something universal, it’s like magic.
And your place… You need to make your place the most cosy, custom and personal area in the world. That’s the secret.
